that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Have we mastered farming? Not quite yet. Are we going for it anyways? Oh yeah.
New farm plot take 3!! A new 1/8 acre. Still in Waimanalo, still incubated by GoFarm, but have to make our own investments in infrastructure, seeds, and other supplies.
What we previously had handed to us, we now have to drive around the island and seek out ourselves. I had no idea how daunting an irrigation warehouse could be. Ted is our guru and Dave's previous life building pools has paid off.
6 lbs sunhemp, mixed with .57 oz inoculate (1 bag/50 lbs) and 6 lbs buckwheat thrown by hand throughout the plot.
Rob brought up inoculating with homemade compost tea instead of buying it. Dave says that would require really accurate compost tea, don't think we're there yet. Rob mentioned buying a microscope for this endeavor, to count the bacteria? I look forward to learning more from him.
This sparse sprouting makes me nervous, not sure if more will continue to germinate from 7/12. Dave and Garret threw out 3 more lbs of each 7/18. Pretty envious when I see the lush plots of Ikaika and Leonard, but they told me not to worry. We will see.
